About Us

The Humphrey Lyttelton Band concert on 17 March 2018 brought to a close 20 years of Pinner Jazz in Pinner Parish Church.

We're delighted to say that it is not the end of jazz concerts, because the new Music in Pinner Series will comprise a mixture of classical and jazz.

Visit the Music in Pinner site for more details.

The Jazz Repertory Company: Jazz in New York – the 1930s

13/01/2018, 20:00

This concert is now sold out.

Please note this concert's location; Pinner United Synagogue, 1 Cecil Park, Pinner, HA5 5HJ.

And now for something completely different with both the staging of this concert in Pinner Synagogue, and the JRC’s conscious evocation of classic jazz from New York’s classic swing heyday. Expect fireworks from Enrico Tomasso, trumpet, Pete Long, saxophone and clarinet, Anthony Kerr, vibraphone, Nick Dawson, piano, Dave Chamberlain, bass and guitar, with the maestro Richard Pite on drums plus the vocally delightful Joan Viskant. A veritable feast from the golden age of jazz.

(The original show sold out the 900-seater Cadogan Hall when it debuted there. It has been adapted for to-night's seven-piece band and will include music by Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Billie Holiday and other great names from the swing era.)

To book for the final concert this season, visit the TicketSource website, or call 0333 666 3366 (admin fee applies for telephone bookings).

I wish to thank the many people who have made 20 years of Pinner Jazz possible - the organising committee and helpers, people who have provided interval refreshments, sound system operators, people who have prepared publicity posters and put advertising boards round about, people who have run the website and arranged publicity, the huge number of musicians who have played here over the years, and above all the audiences who have supported us so loyally.

With good wishes

Stuart Nattrass - chairman of Pinner Jazz organising committee
