About Us

The Humphrey Lyttelton Band concert on 17 March 2018 brought to a close 20 years of Pinner Jazz in Pinner Parish Church.

We're delighted to say that it is not the end of jazz concerts, because the new Music in Pinner Series will comprise a mixture of classical and jazz.

Visit the Music in Pinner site for more details.

Alan Barnes – A Christmas Carol

09/12/2017, 20:00

Multi-instrumentalist Alan Barnes played for our first-ever season and has been a staple of our programmes ever since. Interspersed with his small group appearances there have been a series of cleverly-contrived suites and thematic presentations and this year we are to be given his take on Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’ in timely fashion. Given the all-star band roster he’s lined up for us, it’s anybody’s guess who will take on the time-honoured character roles from the book. With Alan will be Bruce Adams, trumpet, Mark Nightingale, trombone, Robert Fowler, Karen Sharp, saxophones and clarinet, with another Pinner favourite, the estimable Dave Newton on piano, plus bassist Simon Thorpe and that fine drummer Clark Tracey.

Pre-booked tickets are £14, £16 and £18.

To book for any of the concerts this season, visit the TicketSource website, or call 0333 666 3366 (admin fee applies for telephone bookings).

I wish to thank the many people who have made 20 years of Pinner Jazz possible - the organising committee and helpers, people who have provided interval refreshments, sound system operators, people who have prepared publicity posters and put advertising boards round about, people who have run the website and arranged publicity, the huge number of musicians who have played here over the years, and above all the audiences who have supported us so loyally.

With good wishes

Stuart Nattrass - chairman of Pinner Jazz organising committee
